Why Your Dog Needs a 'Job' at Home
Most breeds we own today were bred for a specific purpose: herding, retrieving, guarding, or hunting. Today, their only job is waiting for us to finish watching Netflix. This lack of purpose leads to boredom, which manifests as destructive behavior, excessive barking, or anxiety.
A "job" doesn't mean they need to herd sheep in your living room. A job can be eating their dinner out of a puzzle toy instead of a bowl. It can be a 10-minute training session learning a new trick. Mental fatigue is just as important as physical fatigue.
